As the New Year approaches, it is a great opportunity to think about what we would like to promise ourselves for the upcoming New Year. Such as things we would like to do, to achieve, to learn and more. At my home, we’re talking about things like this as a family, as obviously there are things we want to do or achieve as a family and some we wish as individuals and so, here are the promises we’ve made as a family for the new year to come.
Spend More Time with Family and Friends
From the start of the conversation it was clear to all of us that we wish to do more things together – play, eat, watch our favorite TV shows, go to the movies, go on trips together (mostly in nature) and exercise together as well. Each of us has also expressed their desire to spend more time with their friends, and so, more plans for family time with all of our friends are also included in our near future!
Get on with the Home Remodeling Project I’ve Postponed Forever
My wife tries not to trouble me too much with it as she knows how busy I am running the shop, but sometimes I hear her say things like: “the cobbler’s children have no shoes” and I know well that it refers to that new kitchen I’ve promised her, in like, forever. So I brought it up in our family discussion and I’ve promised my wife that this year we will have the most beautiful kitchen in the neighborhood!
Develop Myself Personally and Professionally
This year, each of us will develop themselves to the better: and so, our son chose a new science class in which he’s interested in, our daughter asked for a dancing class, my wife wants to start a new business of her very own handmade jewelry and me? I’m determined to finally complete my master’s degree.
